Chunk is a time blocking app for Mac. You drag your tasks onto your calendar, and a countdown shows how long is left on whatever you should be doing right now. It syncs both ways with Google, Outlook and Apple Calendar, and pulls in your Apple Reminders too. Save a good day as a template and reuse it, or just ask Claude to plan your week for you.
Free for 7 days with no card required. No subscriptions.
A time blocking app for Mac that puts your tasks and calendar in one place. Drag a task onto your day and it becomes a block, and a countdown shows how long is left on it. Wow what a great app for the ADHD crowd, I love the UI it's very me! Since I downloaded there has been multiple feature updates which is promising (just waiting on the mobile app plz soon)
Hi Product Hunt π
I'm Dudley, and I'm the developer of Chunk.
Some of you might remember Chunk from the v3 launch, when it was a panel that dropped down from the menu bar. People liked the idea but kept telling me the same thing: it was great for seeing the week but restrictive for planning it. So I spent the last few months turning it into a full feature app that has the best of both worlds.
How it works: your tasks sit on one side, your calendar on the other. Drag a task onto a time and it becomes a block. While you're in a block, a countdown tells you how long is left, and a small floating timer stays on screen even if Chunk is closed. When the block ends you get a fullscreen alert where you can tick it off, take more time or push it to later.
What's new since last time:
β’ A full window with three layouts: Tasks, Plan and Calendar
β’ Faster Apple Reminders sync, now with notes and priority
β’ Search across tasks, reminders and calendar events
β’ Priorities, links and Markdown notes on tasks
β’ Private iCloud sync between your Macs, no account needed
β’ Claude can now create tasks and move things around in your calendar for you
It syncs both ways with Google, Outlook and Apple Calendar, so it works alongside whatever you already use.
It's a one-time $29.99, no subscription, and there's a 7 day free trial with no card needed.
I'd really like to hear how you plan your days and what's missing for you. I'll be here all day answering comments.

@dudley_spenceΒ To answer yours, I plan in Apple Reminders and then forget to actually put anything on the calendar also what can Claude do in there, like could I say "move my afternoon tasks to tomorrow" and it just does it?
@jay_janarthanan1Β Chunk integrates with Google Cal, Apple Cal, and Outlook Cal along with an apple reminders integration. Currently there isn't a slack integration but if enough of our user-base requests it we'll add it π
Congrats on the launch today! I have a couple of questions: Is this just for tasks, and not for actual calendar meetings? In the video, it shows asking Claude to move a 1:1. Is this a task to move the 1:1 or is Claude actually moving the 1:1?
Also, why a separate desktop application and not a browser extension? Just curious.
Chunk is a privacy first app. All your data is stored on device and not in a hosted database. For the same reason Chunk uses a local MCP for claude integration. This is why we dont have a web app or browser extension π On your other question, both - the task is labelled 'move 1:1' and in the video claude is using the MCP to move the task.

The countdown showing how much time is left on a task is a small detail but I can see it being really useful during a busy day.
Thanks @d_cooper we do our best to get requested features out as fast as we can. There will be a few updates still before we get to a mobile app but love the enthusiasm. A true Chunker π€©
