Google's web browser now offers native push notifications

@chrismessina I first thought about how awesome it is and how I can leverage it as a business owner. My attention immediately shifted to how hard I might get spammed as a consumer. Yikes.
Interesting/Important for a closed loop UX. Great next step!
More importantly, I feel like Chrome is using way less power now than it used to. Still experimenting though. Anyone else seen something similar?
I see this as a huge win for web technologies. If done right, it can remove a huge advantage native apps have over the web. Does anyone know if these push notifications exist in the Chrome mobile apps too?
