Fresh cookies in under 10 mins? How can u not go for that?
@jessekorzan are you familiar with the cook times of cookies? That's pretty standard, if people don't want to mix ingredients I don't see why they don't just use the "break-apart" kind of cookies which also cook in less than 10 minutes and don't cost $1.25 per "pod"
@joelle_writes pre-made cookie dough hurts my stomach for some reason :(
@kay0stheory I'm guessing this would do then as that is basically what it is but in a pod with a baking surface
@joelle_writes I didn't realize that it doesn't mix the dough like a bread maker . I hate to say this but I agree with you: what's the point of this?
@kay0stheory well we are not alone, the verge had a piece sharing a similar perspective: http://www.theverge.com/circuitb...
While fresh chocolate chip cookies are my favorite dessert, you can make them in a toaster oven or regular oven with about the same amount of bake time. I just don't see how this could possibly warrant the cost and counter space. Am I missing something?
@yo @mattsilv "we have to disrupt the cookie space"
That's pretty much the definition of "why"? Takes a simple product and then complicates the hell out of it, in the process producing a ton of garbage.
This is one of those instances when we need smell-o-vision. Nothing would get me to buy this more than if I could smell fresh-baked cookies through my monitor. Neat idea - reminds me of rice cookers, though when I bake cookies we tend to fill 2-3 oven trays. I guess this makes sense if you keep cookie dough in your fridge, you could have fresh baked cookies all the time. 100k is definitely am ambitious Kickstarter goal, best of luck!
