ChickyTutor
Launching today
Hi Product Hunt! I’m Phanos, founder of ChickyTutor.
We’re returning with an interactive whiteboard that brings visual teaching into spoken language practice. Ask about a language pattern, see examples, work through an exercise and discuss it with your tutor all during the conversation.
We’ve also partnered with L’école de français to combine teacher-led French classes with daily AI practice between lessons at chickytutor.com/hybrid/french, and released ChickyTutor on Android.

@phanos_anastasiou I like how it balances guided learning methods with open-ended spoken practice seamlessly. congrats for launch🙌
I have been trying to learn German for the past few months, starting from A1 and now i'm trying to get better at actual conversations. Many YT videos I watched but still struggle to understand what ppl are saying when they speak. Also I tried Chatgpt voice agent for practice but it didn't work for me.
After watching the ChickyTutor demo it seems much easier to follow and closer to what I need for speaking Practice. I am definitely going to give it a try. 🇩🇪 :)
@tahir21 Thanks Muhammad! It's never too early to start speaking :) You can ask it to repeat or explain anything you don’t catch so you have a private tutor always available to provide feedback :)
I’d love to hear how it goes, especially what feels easier to follow and where you still get stuck. That feedback would be really useful :)
This is a very sensible choice for our school to make. How do the artificial intelligence classes relate to what we learn in class each day, and does the tutor know what we have learned that week?
Btw, Congratulations @phanos_anastasiou on the launch of ChickyTutor ✌️🎊
@aymi_malik Schools can either use the Chickytutor curriculum or bring their own lesson material.
The tutor tracks the student's progress and flags strengths/weaknesses and next steps. Human teachers can use these to tailor their teaching on the students' progress.
this way students can get unlimited speaking practice with personalised feedback and the class can focus on explaining new concepts. The idea is to keep human teaching and daily AI practice connected, so you get more chances to use what you’ve learnt.
the whiteboard addition is a smart move, my problem with most voice tutors has been that corrections fly by in audio and I forget them 10 seconds later. seeing the grammar pattern while also hearing it gives you two shots at retaining it instead of one. question on the French hybrid partnership: does the AI practice between lessons actually sync with what the human teacher covered that week, or is it running on its own curriculum in parallel
@galdayan Both are possible. Schools can either use the Chickytutor curriculum or bring their own lesson material. The tutor tracks the student's progress and flags strengths/weaknesses and next steps. Human teachers can use these to tailor their teaching on the students' progress.

Of course it's also possible to treat the AI tutor as general speaking practice with feedback :)
I like the idea that you already collaborate with students. How many languages are supported?
@busmark_w_nika We collaborate with teachers and students! 70+ languages supported!
@busmark_w_nika I am learning Cantonese :D
@phanos_anastasiou are you gonna to China? :D
@busmark_w_nika I am in Hong Kong very often 😊
That's a cool new feature over there!
Is it a step towards the "comprehensible language" leaning method?
@daniele_besana The conversation mode follows comprehensible input. Whereas the guided mode is more similar to Pimsleur/Assimil/Michel Thomas methods :)
Really like the idea! Congrats on the launch. How does the interactive whiteboard work during an actual lesson?
@suryansh_tiwari2 It works just like a real private tutor. The tutor decides when it would be useful to generate an interactive whiteboard to explain a concept.
The student can also ask for a whiteboard at all times :)
The whiteboard has some standard formats but the tutor can also generate a completely new generative concept
@phanos_anastasiou Oh wow, that’s actually really cool! Love how the tutor decides when a whiteboard would help. I’m definitely excited to try this out myself.
