Hey Product Hunt! I made this tiny little coffee calculator to help those who love to measure when they brew. At home I brew coffee with the comfort of a gram scale and my trusty Hario v60. But when I'm on the road I don't always have those familiar tools. I struggle with even basic coffee machines because they all have their own measurements they call "cups" – no two are alike! This coffee calculator helps you figure out the right brew ratio with whatever measurements you have available – whether you have a gram scale, tablespoons or cups, measuring should be simple! I've launched it on my personal site for free, but also on the Google Play store for a tiny one-time fee for the convenience of having it as an app, keeping track of your previous brew across sessions. Hope you enjoy!

Although I'll always measure in grams, I'm really happy to see a brew calculator that allows users to measure by the spoon. The reality is, most coffee drinkers aren't using scales, timers etc. So when someone wants to dip their toe into the 3rd wave coffee scene, this allows them to play with one variable (dose) without having to fork out for new gear. A great stepping stone in my opinion, or a minor, non-intrusive step to improve their already existing coffee routine.

I just go with 3in1 😂. What am I missing out?
Matt Shwery
@ken_moo if you love your method, that's great! I tend to stick with a 1:17 ratio (for every gram of coffee, use 17 grams of water) which makes a great cup for my taste.
