What do you think? …

All Hands is built to help out with meetings that really should be presentations (information download rather than collaboration). The idea is that instead of pressing the big red stop button for an entire team (or an entire business) for hours every week just to keep everyone in sync, you instead schedule in and pre-record the things they need to know. All Hands does the workflow part, lets you include other people and combine into one update (so it's easy to have different people presenting), makes recording easy (all in the browser, no extensions), and then does the sharing + reactions (emoji + comments). Crucially we're also collecting (anon) stats and (optionally anon) qualitative feedback to help teams make the _next_ update more relevant. We can see more use cases than just the companywide stuff - Product Reviews, cross-functional updates ("here's what sales/support need to know about what's changed in the product this week") etc. etc. Been building since ~April this year, we have a few folks using the product but would like to get more feedback. Let us know what you think!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. Recommending this to every leader who is trying to make their team-wide updates more meaningful. I've already mentioned this on a bunch of coaching calls with directors and executives—this is going to be useful for SO MANY PEOPLE!

@lara_hogan thanks Lara! 😇

I really like the idea - can you explain if the updates are meant to be professionally or can they be used as "water cooler chat" which many people miss while being in the home office? :)
Nik
@lilian_i the target is updates about the business - for instance, the status of a big project or an analysis of a move by a bit competitor, some Q&A with the exec team. This is where the analytics and feedback is super useful to help you level up your internal comms. Of course some teams like to use it for “water cooler” style things - actually internally we were using it for updates like “Teach everyone something in 3 minutes” or “what were you most proud of this week”. It does work well so maybe that’s the sweet spot!

Our team at Atomic.io has been using and LOVING All Hands for a few months now. It's hard to explain just how much better everyone's updates are when they have the opportunity to prepare them ahead of time. I also love all the little things, like being able to speed up, or slowdown playback of an update, and of course, being able to rewatch. My only advice for new teams picking it up is to stick with it. Those first one or two meetings can feel weird to make and share, but once you've done a couple, it becomes hard to imagine reverting back. Huge credit to the team behind it!

This team has released a few great products over the years so I was excited to try out their take on improving internal comms. All Hands is awesome and we've been using it for product team updates at OneLogin.
Nik
@richchetwynd Thanks Rich! We're just getting started, and there's still a lot to do but we're really excited to share All Hands with the world.

This is great, more people need to get acclimated with asynchronous meetings now that we’re all working remote. Looks good!
