We built Breefly because the way we learn online is broken. Long lectures, meetings, and videos are packed with valuable ideas but also tons of dead space, tangents, and repetition. As students and builders, we kept falling behind not because the content was hard, but because it was inefficient to consume. The original goal was simple: “what if you could get the essence of a 2-hour lecture in minutes without missing what matters?” As we worked on it, our approach evolved from basic summarization to something more structured: smart chaptering, key takeaways, and context-preserving breefs that still feel like the original content, just distilled. A big shift for us was realizing Breefly isn’t just about saving time, it’s about giving people control over how they learn. Whether that’s cramming for an exam, catching up after skipping class, or reviewing content more intentionally, we wanted Breefly to adapt to the user, not the other way around. Curious how others here deal with long-form content. Do you watch at 2x, skim, or just give up entirely?
