For a fashion/clothing service, it was kind of a turn-off to see the "humorous" images in the sign-up process (guy in speedo, Borat singlet, Community cast...). Especially forcing people with "oval" bodies to compare themselves to a cross-dressing Zach Galifianakis.
Seems like all of the wrong tone -- it just kind of felt like the wrong impression for a company that's helping you pick out fashion choices. I would have expected a more sophisticated, professional tone.

@danlev Hi Dan, appreciate the honest feedback. For context, we are making a conscious effort not to brand ourselves similar to the aesthetic you might expect with a more traditional fashion/clothing service - we intentionally want the process to be approachable and fun, and not take it too seriously, thus the lack of the more usual luxurious, trendy branding you might be more used to in clothing retail. That more typical branding can be off-putting to a lot of everyday guys, so we want to come at it in a different way.
@kaz Trunk Club is an on-demand thing where they send you a bunch of stuff, this is a monthly thing that sends you just a few items.

@kaz Co-founder here. Biggest difference is pricing. We think of Trunk Club as Saks Fifth Avenue in pricing, and ourselves as Nordstrom / Macy's - we're using technology to bring the cost of personal styling down by making the process more efficient and affordable. So while Trunk Club offers premium price points and will send trunks worth $1000 - $1500, our average price point is closer to $69 and we send as few as one piece per shipment if you prefer.

@cenedella Over half of our users are married - lot of significant others appreciate not having to go to the mall for their guy, and not having to go BACK to the mall to return the clothes he ends up not liking. Takes a lot of the hassle out of it, and they can still have input on what to keep vs send back.

The fitting algorithm is probably my favorite thing. I've even gotten compliments on Bombfell shirts' fit from other personal stylists.
You can give them your exact measurements (and their site helps you do so, you can even print & assemble the tape measure). Then you get stuff that fits you perfectly without having to guess/remember what size you are with different brands.
