What do you think? …

Sergiu Bagrin
Hi Everyone! I’m Sergiu Bagrin, co-founder of BitBlox.me BitBlox will help you build beautiful sites, by adding pre-made design elements - called blocks to the page and then edit everything within. All of this without having coding skills. Would love to hear your thoughts, comments and feedback! Thanks !

Hi @sergiu_bagrin, is your site builder support javascript embed like https://widgetpack.com , http://disqus.com?
Sergiu Bagrin
Hi @cackleru, Last week we finished with javascript embed, multi-language, block options, button options, sticky blocks, global block data. We need up to two weeks to test and publish it

@sergiu_bagrin A real competitor for WIX
Sergiu Bagrin
Hi @rotemthegolfer, Thank you.

@sergiu_bagrin really it is beautiful but i think you should decrease the price. Maybe you can request yearly price and a bit cheaper.

Hi Sergiu, congrats on the hunt. This is the type of product that interests me the most, so I've noticed that there's quite a lot of those recently. I've got two questions: - Is your product page made with BitBlox? If not, it's pretty discouraging - any plans for a web-dev pricing model? (for those who create websites for clients using tools like yours) Thanks and good luck!
Sergiu Bagrin
@desmondzik Thanks for your feedback! - Nope, our product page was not made with BItBlox editor. There is some blocks in product page which is more specific and there is no such editor who can make customization like this. - Yes, we plan to have web-dev pricing model, it will be available in about 2 months. Have a nice day and good luck too!

@desmondzik good first question, too bad this baker doesn't eat his own bread

@loudijk @desmondzik It's surprisingly common

What is the essential difference between Webflow or Squarespace?
Sergiu Bagrin
@enzo_gi Thanks for the question, Enzo. I'd like to emphasize BitBlox's block system. You build a page from pre-designed blocks (you don't need to use basic elements: buttons, text, image). It saves your time because blocks have been created by pro. It is a great prototyping tool. Or you can express yourself by adjusting blocks according to your very needs. This area is highly competitive market so: Webflow offers almost full control over how the website is built, from a visual and code perspective but it will take some time to finish a project. SquareSpace can be used by anyone who doesn't have a web development background. It has more features out of the box but it needs some design skills. Also you need to use basic elements: buttons, text, image.

Hi @sergiu_bagrin, the site has a really beautiful design. congrats on the launch. What motivated you to create BitBlox? How is it different from other competitors like Wix, bubble and all? How are you going to communicate that to potential customers? I'm generally curious. I recently shopped around for tools that can help build simple landing pages, website without coding. I found Wix to be the most user friendly (drag drop ease and intuitive interface similar to powerpoint presentation). I was left wanting for more because customizing the templates even slightly distorted the mobile view. So it is mobile friendly but not completely responsive. I think for lay users it is hard to get over that hurdle. Now some feedback on Bitblox: When I tried using Bitblox (I think I had preconceived expectations about how things should work - for e.g, editing uploaded images, resizing etc) - it didn't work as expected which made me drop it. I think you may encounter this with other users too - if you're planning to make people switch from other platforms to yours. Also, it was hard to locate where the "preview" button was and I couldn't locate "preview mobile layout" if there was a feature at all for this. Hope this is helpful.

Hi @nidhi_v_shandilya. Thanks for your feedback and information. We build a lot of wordpress themes/ custom themes in the last 10 years (http://themefuse.com). Also i tested all Cloud Page Builders existing online. Each time it is needed to start with buttons, icons, basic elements ... In our case you build a page from pre-designed blocks( Right now we have not so much blocks (70) but we plan ~ 300-450). Wix, SquareSpace, WebFlow, ... are great companies but we tried a different way. We plan 300-400 blocks with a lot of skins and options. Options Screen: Button Options: Grid Options (columns number, image ratio): Also we work on image editor. We plan a lot of improvements in next 3-4 weeks. Preview button, Save loader, External Apps for Options on Portfolio, Forms blocks (Ex: Instagram, Twitter, soundcloud, aWeber, ...) Thank you again for feedback and suggestions.

Good job guys! Do you have any plans for self hosted version? Also, how developer friendly is it going to be in the future?
Sergiu Bagrin
Hi @celikovic, Cool to hear that :) Thanks! We don't plan a self hosted version but we plan a reseller program. It will be possible to integrate the editor into your project (e.g. an A/B testing tool, a Shopify App, etc.) Q: how developer friendly is it going to be in the future? A: We plan to extend our Api to make it working with external apps in the future.
PressedPear
@sergiu_bagrin @celikovic A reseller version sounds interesting, how would this work? do you have a time frame on this? Also, do you have a faq section, all I can find is a contact form to get in touch with support.
Sergiu Bagrin
Hi @pressedpear, Will be possible to integrate BitBlox editor in your existing project (A/B tool, Shopify App, etc). I don't know how much time it will take. Ex: I build a demo App for shopify in 4 days. I plan to publish it on Shopify today. From my point of view it can be an interesting page builder for Shopify Platform.
