Hi PH 👋 Charley from the Alloy team here! We’re excited to officially launch our Credit Underwriting decision engine today :). Alloy has historically been known as a KYC/onboarding platform for fintech companies and banks, but over the past year, more and more of our clients were asking our product team to build a decision engine for credit - so we went ahead and did just that. Before Alloy, if you wanted to launch a new lending product, say a consumer credit card, you would have to: Sign with and integrate into all the various data providers for credit (credit bureaus, alternative data, etc) as well as all the various data providers for fraud and KYC - 😞 Write a bunch of code to express knock out rules, underwriting criteria, product pricing, and much more - 😩 Write some more code to build out internal dashboards for tracking analytics, manual reviews, debugging - 😿 And write even more code in regards to auditing, permissioning, and security since you’re working with sensitive financial data With Alloy Credit Underwriting, fintech companies get an out of the box credit decision engine that’s simpler to integrate and much more scalable. @charleyma The decision-making algorithm in the app is exactly what I needed a couple of years ago when I was considering buying a house with a mortgage. I needed a large two-storey house for myself and my family. I didn't earn much then, but my earnings were regular and average. I looked for advice from all my friends, but no one could share the experience. One of them sent me to Mortgage Advice Lincoln, which I went to immediately after the phone call. He's advised me on loans until now. But I'll also take your app into account. Thanks!

It's still up to our clients to define their credit policy and then use Alloy to express that policy, but our company's mission is the make financial services safe and seamless for all and so we believe that by providing infrastructure that make it easier for FI's of all shapes and sizes to access and decision on top of as much underwriting data as possible (including, for example. cash flow data), it should also open up better financial products for underserved people too!
