Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Ngoni Washington Mupandawana — a tattoo artist of 9 years and the maker behind Alice Tattoos. I started tattooing during a pretty uncertain time in my life. I was expecting my daughter, unsure about long-term job prospects, and tattooing began as something I did for fun. Over time, it turned into a full career — and a front-row seat to how emotional, cultural, and misunderstood tattoos really are. One thing became very clear after years in the shop: tattooing doesn’t come with a retirement plan. Your hands, your time, your body — that’s the business. So instead of making a course or selling “industry secrets,” I started building Alice Tattoos — a way to turn years of lived tattoo experience into something scalable and genuinely useful. This product wasn’t built fast. It took almost two years, juggling shop hours, late nights, and whatever time I could steal between clients. It’s been exciting, frustrating, deeply educational — and honestly, something I’ve really enjoyed building. Alice Tattoos is about: helping people understand tattoos better preserving and sharing tattoo knowledge and slowly building tools that serve artists, studios, and collectors It’s still early, still evolving, and very much shaped by feedback.
