Both halves of AgreeGuard run on Vercel. The site is Next.js, and the API the extension talks to (api.agreeguard.app) is Vercel Functions. The API part mattered more than we expected. Every analysis is a long AI call, sometimes 30 to 50 seconds when Deep Crawl pulls in a few linked policy pages at once. We're a small agency team with client work going on, so looking after servers for that was never going to happen. With Functions we wrote the endpoint and pushed it. It holds up when a launch sends traffic and costs close to nothing on a quiet day. Honestly it changed what we built. Since the backend wasn't something we had to think about, we spent our time on the hard parts, like following links to the separate arbitration page or catching consent checkboxes on React signup forms. Deep Crawl probably wouldn't exist otherwise.
