Codex CLI + Claude Code sessions: a command-line love story. Unified session history for Codex CLI + Claude Code. Search everything. Track both limits. Resume or copy what you need. native macOS app • open source
I built Agent Sessions v2 because juggling Codex CLI and Claude Code sessions was chaos.
Now it's one unified interface for both agents' history:
- Browse visually, then resume or copy what you need
- or Search across BOTH tools' history (find any session, any prompt, instantly)
- Track usage limits for both — never get surprised mid-flow
Why it beats /resume:
✓ Shows *all* sessions (not just recent ones)
✓ Search + filter by project + sort before resuming (no blind replays)
✓ Copy snippets anywhere — new sessions, ChatGPT, wherever
Native macOS • Open source • Local-first

I am going to test it in my next sessions. One thing that immediately got into my mind, if I'd be able to configure it as MCP to make a reverse search with my coding agent through all my past CLI sessions from any provider.

@pinkpanther303 thank you for the comment! I don't plan to support MCP (not really fond of MCP concept) but may add a CLI tool that an agent can invoke to search across multiple agents session history.
