Adhoc School

Hi Product Hunters! 👋, Thanks for hunting us @roxanne_varza ! We’re Iman, Gazelle & Mohsen, co-founders of Adhoc School! A year ago, during school closure, we launched an MVP, PodsMatch.com as a platform to help parents find and create their learning pods (Groups of 3-7 families with same-aged children who hire a teacher and study in their houses) to connect with other parents. For that short period of time we had the trust of 700 parents and teachers, to connect them through Pods Match. In Pods Match we realized the importance of having a community and connecting with other parents who have K12 students. We realized parents are struggling to find other parents and plan activities for their kids as well as themselves. That led us to Adhoc School! A platform where parents can easily connect with other parents in their area, plan activities or find educational classes offered by certified teachers. In Adhoc School, we believe that an entire community of people could provide for positive interaction with children. Whether you are a single parent, have children with special needs, or just looking to find families in your neighborhood, you can find them on Adhoc school. Just like the village, you grew up in! ​​The K12 education and after-school activity market in the US have seen drastic changes in the last few years. The main difference between us and the other major players is family-oriented communities and learning through social interactions. We believe It takes a village to raise a child, we want to help parents get connected to their own villages. Thank you for letting us share our journey with the Product Hunt community. Finding great educational activities and classes for kids can be so difficult. There isn't really a "go to" place online and existing platforms are very fragmented and/or don't often offer only limited options. Adhoc School seeks to become the reference for the entire K12 spectrum and also allows for parents to share activities with the rest of the community.
