I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally listened to U2. Thanks, @joeemison. πŸ‘πŸΌ
@joeemison @rrhoover you never deleted it when apple forced it onto everyone? wow, you're one of the few that apple targeted
Hey Product Hunt!: Many car stereos will automatically play the first song you have alphabetically when you plug your iPhone into the USB port. Some headphones do this too. The most common suggestion on how to fix this--since it's your car/headphones doing it, you can't do it with an iPhone setting--is to make a song called "aaa" that's just silence and copy it to your iPhone. But that requires (a) making that song and (b) syncing with iTunes on your computer, which are pains in the ass and too difficult for some people. So I made a silent song called "Aaa Silence" and put it on Apple Music, so if you subscribe to Apple Music, you can put it in your library for free. I also have it on the iTunes Store for 99 cents. Once you get it, it will play silence instead of the song that keeps driving you nuts. I'd love your feedback and will be happy to answer any questions.
@joeemison ack, it shows as $10 in the iTunes US store right now - ah never mind I found the abridged for 99 cents, last link on PH
@joelle_writes yes--sorry, there's a longer one for $9.99 (79 minutes long). Apple sets the pricing--I wanted to price that one at 99 cents also, and was unpleasantly surprised when it showed up as more. That's how I ended up making the shorter one.
@joeemison Too bad the first track in my library is "A-Punk" which alphabetizes ahead of Aaa
@raleighing Oh no! I'm happy to send you money via paypal if you bought it. I thought I had tested against A-Punk.
@joeemison No, I'm an apple music subscriber. Thanks for responding so quickly. I'll just make a silent track myself and name it something like ---.
πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ unbelievable! Daily frustration twice a day now suddenly gone. Thanks!!
This should be called "AAA No more u2"
Great solution! I solved this a few months ago by purchasing this song: Same net effect.
