A simple, open-source and efficient web application to separate vocals from music using Artificial Intelligence. Run everywhere with Docker. Totally free. No external APIs.

Hey Hunters! 👋
Paladini here, and I'm thrilled to share a major update to Voice Separator with you all!
When I first launched, my goal was to take powerful AI models like Demucs, which were often complex tools for developers, and build a dead-simple, free web interface for everyone. Today, that vision gets even better.
With Voice Separator, you can:
🎵 Separate vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments from any audio file.
📺 Paste a YouTube link and extract stems directly.
🎧 Create backing tracks, isolate acapellas, or just explore the layers of your favorite songs.
🎛️ (NEW!) Choose Your AI Model: Stick with the super-fast CPU default for quick results, or switch to higher-quality models (like Demucs v4) for pro-level separation!
✅ It's still completely free, powered by open-source AI.
The long-term vision is huge: a full cross-platform desktop app is in the works for offline use. But I'm building this for you, the community, and your feedback is crucial for what comes next.
This is where I need your expertise. With the addition of more advanced features like model selection, I have a key strategic question:
I'm here all day to answer every comment and can't wait to hear your thoughts on this new direction!
Cheers,
Fernando Paladini (@paladini)
This tool is a total game-changer for musicians and remixers! I can’t believe it’s free and open-source—major props for that!
A clean user interface, no need for external APIs, and it’s Docker-ready? This is a developer’s dream come true!
I’ve been on the lookout for a tool like this that doesn’t hold back on features. So happy you created it!
You’ve just made karaoke night at my place way more entertaining! 😂
I’m really enjoying the update! Are there any limits on track length or file size when using Demucs v4?
@leo_voss from now on, there's no limit on file size!
I’m curious about how the CPU model stacks up against the HQ version. Any chance of side-by-side demos or results?
