...after speaking with my girlfriend lengthily about this (no one should feel like they have to get surgery to look "normal"!) - I found that there is massive underserved community of both younger girls but also more elderly folks (looking for as second lease of life) who have a huge fearpoint around the uncertainty of what to request/ask for pre-op. The surgeon does their best, but sometimes acquiesce to demands ("I want a nose like X celebrity!"). This increases the risk of botched procedures, irreversible damage, and crushed expectations. Question is this: should patients have access to realistic surgical previews BEFORE consultations to level the playing field with surgeons - and sometimes - their own expectations of what can be achieved through surgical transformation?
