FlashDocs lets you generate Google Slides and PowerPoint decks from your product — using just one API call. Markdown, charts, images, tables, merge tags, brand themes — all handled. Build it once, export stunning decks everywhere.
We’re Morten and Adam, co-founders of FlashDocs - and today we’re launching the slide export API we always wanted but could never find.
🚧 The Problem
If your product generates insights, summaries, or analysis - and your users want to export that into a custom branded slide deck - you’ve probably faced this mess:
Wrestling with XML and Google Slides API
Dealing with inconsistent branding and templates
Python or .js libraries without export to pptx or Google Slides
Or worse… having your users manually copy-paste into a deck
We hit these pain points again and again - at McKinsey, Google, and in our last startup. So we decided to fix it.
✅ The Solution
With a single API call, you can go from Markdown, JSON, or LLM output → into fully branded PowerPoint or Google Slides decks.
Huge thanks to the PH team and to @fmerian for supporting our launch. We’re here all day answering questions, fixing bugs, and cheering on other launches.
We’d love your feedback:
What would you use FlashDocs to export?
What formats or integrations should we build next?
Want help building a quick POC? Just ask.
Here’s our team, who made this launch happen (👋 from NYC)
@fmerian@mortenatoren@adamkhakhar This is a crazy use case! We've faced this with B2B customers a lot. It might be a good idea to build clients around the API for easy integration in different technologies
@fmerian@adamkhakhar@rachitmagon That's awesome to hear, Rachit! And love the idea about making integrations easier - that's definitely something we see for our clients, too
Big cheers on the launch of FlashDocs. Turning product data into polished decks with just one API call? That’s absolute magic. From markdown to brand-ready slides, this is going to be a game-changer for teams who live in presentations.
Wishing you tons of love, upvotes, and decks flying off the (cloud) shelves.
@priyankamandal This means a lot, Priyanka — thank you! 🙌 We're thrilled to be saving teams from the slide grind. Appreciate the love and the kind words!

@himani_sah1@tessa_loria wow, this is exactly what we were looking for to automate weekly team updates 🎯 Can we use this to generate decks via Zapier or Webhooks?
@himani_sah1@tessa_loria@monia_dohas that's great to hear! And yes, it does work with Zapier and Webhooks - we also have a number of clients using it with n8n, for instance. Happy to jump on a call and set it up for you!
@kate_ramakaieva thank you so much - it really means a lot to us! And yes, we do support dynamic chart generation via JSON. Happy to set up some time to show you how it all works:)

Finally—an API that turns my chaotic markdown notes into boardroom-ready slides without the XML nightmares! That brand-locking feature alone just saved me 47 ‘Can you match our colors?’ emails. Definitely want to try this. Huge congratualtions on your launch!
@rani_zagita thank you so much! Love to hear it - markdown and XML is no fun ;)

Congrats on the launch! 🎉 FlashDocs sounds like a brilliant solution for automating presentations—definitely filling a gap many didn’t realize needed fixing. I’m curious, how do you see this evolving beyond just slide generation?
Excited to see where you take this—already feels like one of those tools that’ll quietly become indispensable. Best of luck with the rollout!
Great product and great team! We are a happy customer of FlashDocs. I'm really amazed by how well the slide decks generated by their APIs are. What they are offering is truly something unique and solves a huge pain point.
