Hi friends! I’m Bryce. I just graduated medical school, and over the past few years I fell in love with medical innovation. I realized that med-tech is the kind of "medicine" I'm most passionate about, so I withdrew my residency applications, packed up, and moved to SF. I wanted to invent tools that could actually help people in the everyday moments traditional care doesn't always reach. And with the advancements in AI, I think that’s finally possible like never before. MomDoc is my first med-tech project. I built it completely solo. It uses machine learning to help parents screen for signs of common childhood conditions like ear infections and strep using just a smartphone (and optionally, a $20 otoscope). The idea came from my own family- From the day I started med school, my mom would ask me (from across the country) about my little brother’s symptoms. Most of the time, I didn’t have a clear answer, and I always wished I had something better to offer. MomDoc is the first release from OpenScope Health, a platform I’m building to reimagine direct-to-consumer medicine in the AI era.
