Hey Product Hunt! Prompto actually started as my girlfriend’s idea — she woke up one morning and said, “Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a proper prompt library?” We ended up brainstorming the whole thing together in bed, and that same morning the name Prompto was born. Our first slogan was “prompt it like it’s hot” — we still think it’s funny. The idea came from a simple frustration: I was using ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor almost daily, but had no real system for saving and reusing good prompts. Everything was scattered across notes, chats, and random docs. I just wanted a place to organize, test, and reuse prompts more efficiently. So I built Prompto: a prompt library where you can create collections, bookmark your favorites, test them directly with different models (like GPT-4 or Claude), and export them into your workflows. What I’m most proud of is the “try it out” feature — it lets you test prompts right away with the model they’re tagged for. It’s saved me a ton of time when iterating. If you use LLMs a lot, I’d love to hear how you manage your prompts — and whether Prompto solves a real itch for you. Thanks for checking it out!
