As a student and AI enthusiast, I built Smart Research Assistant out of a personal need — I was spending hours reading papers just to find what was actually useful. I wanted a tool that could understand academic content and surface key insights instantly. What makes it unique is the end-to-end research workflow: not just summarization, but intelligent metadata extraction, author tracking, paper bookmarking, and reuse of content across research flows. Unlike basic PDF summarizers, this tool is built for real researchers and students, with a focus on speed, clarity, and reusability. What I’m most proud of is that it feels like a personal AI assistant — it understands context, makes research interactive, and fits naturally into how we study or write. Seeing it save time for my peers and mentors has been the most rewarding part of building it.
