What do you think? …

Ozgur Ozer

Last year I created an open source tool to rename files based on their content. But it was a bit technical for many users. So I've built a simple and easy-to-use desktop app to organize files effortlessly.

You have the flexibility to process files locally using models like LM Studio or Ollama, or choose the cloud option where your files are privately processed on our servers and you can select from a range of models.

It's available for Mac and Windows and you get 10 free credits when you sign up. Let me know if you have any questions.

An AI-powered tool that renames files by analyzing their content? Great for saving time and keeping photos/docs organized! Might need to check its privacy settings and spot-check accuracy, but super handy for anyone drowning in messy files.

I'd wish I've got this 10 years ago ;) Anyway it's super useful nowadays and I'm more than sure many makers will be super grateful with this. Wish you all the best!

Clean landing page, which platform you used to create it?

Ozgur Ozer

@otman_alami I did it using Cursor.

hey there! I really like the concept of using AI to rename files based on their content, it's a great way to stay organised effortlessly. however, I noticed that video files don’t seem to be supported. Adding support for renaming videos could make the tool even more powerful. i understand that renaming videos is quite different from renaming images or documents. with videos, it’s trickier. maybe analysing subtitles, audio transcripts, or keyframes could help?

also, requiring extra credits for a new name suggestion might feel a bit restrictive, maybe a limited number of free retries could improve user experience. additionally, a preview before renaming would be very helpful to ensure that the suggested names are actually liked. if a user isn’t satisfied with the name, there should be a better way to handle it rather than consuming another credit.

overall, it's a solid tool with great potential. keep up the good work!

Ozgur Ozer

@jibran_jan Actually I did the videos before just by extracting frames and sending them as images. Also I have to pay for each call so that's why renaming costs credits too. That's why I've added a local model support so you can use forever without thinking credits.
