πŸŽ‰ Hey Product Hunt! πŸŽ‰ We built PullSense to make GitHub PR reviews faster and smarter with AI. Instead of replacing human reviews, it helps catch common issues early and reduces repetitive feedback loops. πŸ’‘ How it works: πŸ”Ή Just comment "pull-sense please review" on any PR. πŸ”Ή AI adds inline feedback on potential bugs & improvements. πŸ”Ή Supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) – use OpenAI or your preferred AI model. πŸ”Ή Free to use – Get started instantly! We’d love to hear your thoughts! What do you think about AI in PR reviews? πŸš€ Try it here β†’ PullSense.com

@aswin_vbΒ very cool! at reviewing time, is the AI aware of the full repository or just the files related to the PR? wondering if it will be able to catch errors that only become obvious considering files that are not part of the PR

Aswin Vb

@manuhortetΒ Actually as of now It just has the context of the files changed, We are not storing any code of the user on our end and that is something I had made sure while developing the product that no code of the user will be stored at our end.

Quite impressed by how PullSense seamlessly adds AI-powered suggestions right within PRs! The BYOK feature also stands out, great way to keep things flexible.

@gemanorΒ Thank you

Over the years dev ops and managing git has become its own beast. This looks like a good tool to help tame that beast. Nice work by the team and congratulations on the launch!

@shant_hambarsoumianΒ Thanks for the feedback!

Aswin - great first launch! The BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) approach shows real understanding of enterprise security needs, and the emphasis on enhancing rather than replacing human reviews is spot-on.

Love how you're focusing on three critical aspects of code review:

  • Bug detection

  • Security analysis

  • Code improvement suggestions

The positioning as an enhancement to human reviews rather than a replacement is particularly thoughtful. Really curious about:

  • What patterns has the AI discovered that humans might miss?

  • How do teams integrate this into existing review workflows?

  • Any surprising insights from early usage data?

Quick questions:

  • How do you handle different programming languages and paradigms?

  • What's your approach to false positive reduction?

  • Any plans for integration with other Git platforms beyond GitHub?

The launch engagement suggests teams are hungry for smarter code review tools. You're essentially creating a pre-review layer that makes human reviews more focused and effective!

Keep refining the AI review process - you're making code reviews more efficient while keeping humans in the loop! πŸ€–πŸ‘₯

Looking forward to seeing how Pull Sense evolves. This feels like an important step in modernizing the PR review process! πŸš€

P.S. The free tier is a great way for teams to experience how AI can complement their existing review processes.

@xi_zΒ Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! πŸš€ Really glad you see the value in BYOK and the focus on enhancing rather than replacing human reviews. That balance is something we care deeply about!

To your questions:

πŸ”Ή Multi-Language Support – Right now, we handle major languages (JS, Python, Go, etc.), but we’re constantly expanding based on user needs.

πŸ”Ή Reducing False Positives – We are planning to use a feedback loop where users can dismiss suggestions, helping refine the AI’s accuracy over time. We also plan to let teams customize rules to better fit their coding style.

πŸ”Ή Other Git Platforms? – GitHub is the starting point, but GitLab and Bitbucket support are definitely on our radar!

Appreciate the kind words and enthusiasm! We’re just getting started and would love to hear more from teams using PullSense in real workflows.

PullSense looks like a game-changer for PR reviews! Catching issues early and reducing back-and-forth sounds like a huge time-saver. How well does it handle complex codebases with unique coding styles?
