We use integrations to Slack, Google Meet, Google Calendar, and of course GitHub and Linear, to understand how people are collaborating together. We build a network, similar to a social media, that natively understands relationships.

There are many project management tools out there on the market, so we decided early on: Tometo doesn't solve bugs, but it facilitates bug resolution by connecting the right people at the right time!

Hey, @sparshmellow , what a cool name and a cute logo for a product! I have a few questions for you:
1. What's the story behind the name and the logo?
2. Does Tometo learn from Linear and GitHub history? Assume there are two developers available to work on a project. But Dev A has worked on a related issue or the same branch in the past. And the founder does not know about this. Will Tometo automatically know it should preferentially assign the task to Dev A instead of B based on context to get it done faster?
3. Devs may work on tasks that have dependencies outside of the tech team. How does Tometo help identify such blockers and speed up projects?

@aishwaryalohi Hi Aishwarya! Thanks so much for the thoughtful questions, I love to talk about these things!
The name Tometo comes from the my obsession with Apple products growing up. I believe deeply in making strong decisions in one direction to improve the user experience for customers rather than offering too much personalization or configurability. I wanted to pick a fruit name for that reason, so I created the first rendition of a tomato icon using AI. I shared it around with my friends and family, and everyone loved it! They asked what his name was, and instead of picking a name like Tom or Mater, I picked Tometo. And so that's how the name of the product came about!
Tometo will detect project duplication if two people are working on similar projects across the company, and it will reach out to connect them so they can collaborate rather than working in silos. It retrieves all the integration information in real time, so it's always up-to-date to the most recent status. In terms of task assignment, it consolidates information from the git blame history, previous linear projects, calendar events, and other integrations to give founders the most up-to-date ground truth, so it will find the correct assignee based on recency and commit history.
We allow founders to onboard their entire company, so Tometo will connect engineers across different teams to unblock any cross-team dependencies. In the MVP, we only create two user role types: founder and developer - but we're working on extending them to include blocker detection from other roles. Great insight!

You should invest in JIRA integration
Currently chat is limited with 3 topics. Why? I would remove the limitations and see where it goes.
There are a lot of stuff EMs do so i would focus on those:
Prioritization matrix. Effort vs value
Rough estimations
On call schedules and duties
reliability reports
defining goals and missions
