Hi ProductHunt, This is the first-time-product I post here. So, what does it do? This Chrome extension copies prompts and metadata to the clipboard with one click from AI-generated images, if available. It shows positive and negative prompts, along with other generation data, in a dedicated pop-up window. It currently works only with CivitAI. The extension is already at version 1.2, thanks to user feedback from the Civitai subreddit and collected feedback. It’s a very niche product, but when I checked Civitai’s traffic, I was amazed — it’s 2 million visits a month. So, the audience is definitely out there. The idea for the product originally came from solving my own problem. When I saw a great image and wanted to work around it, sometimes I couldn’t access the prompt because it was hidden. I did some research and found a tedious workaround: I had to save the image to my PC, right-click it, and open it in Notepad. If I was lucky, it would be encoded in a proper text format. If I was lucky again, it would be a PNG (not a JPG), meaning it would have generator metadata, and I could finally see the prompt. Then I’d need to copy it, clean up the spaces, sanitize it, and only then could I use it. I hated it! It took so much time — too long, boring, and frustrating. With the help of ChatGPT, and a couple of sleepless nights, I developed a working MVP, which I’ve been updating based on user feedback till now. So far, it’s free to use while in public beta. I’m looking forward to your feedback and comments!
