Hey Product Hunt👋 We’re Flo & Norbert, creators of crewmap. Super excited to be launching here, today! We made crewmap to help people build relationships at work by finding common ground with their colleagues. In remote companies, it can be super tricky to get to know your coworkers, and we’ve both felt occasional pangs of loneliness or isolation in our own jobs. We realised that once you figure out you’ve got something in common with a coworker, be it a hobby or something else, it’s way easier to say hello & start building those friendships🤝 We hope that crewmap will give employees the opportunity to get closer to their coworkers. From the HR-side, we’ve built crewmap to give you the tools to bring your teams together. 🏡 Help new starters find their feet & form connections with their team. 🏃 From poker nights to 6 am run club, build communities around shared interests. ⏱️ Onboard yourself & your team in less than 90 seconds. 🎁 Work anniversary? Birthdays? Get your colleagues something they’ll love. Thanks for dropping by! We’re on a mission to help everyone find a best friend at work, and we’d love to hear what you think. We offer a 100%, no-questions-asked refund if you’re unhappy for any reasons. Cheers! Norbert & Flo

hi team! congrats on launching! an idea seems legit, I'll share it with our HR team :) do you plan to develop some integrations? with Slack for example
Norbert Hüthmayr
@mind_arts Hi Ernest, yes definitely share - we'll gladly support during onboarding and use. Early customers can also influence the roadmap 😉 Well have planned to integrate with Slack as well as MS Teams in the near future.

This looks amazing. 🤩 Congrats on the launch! I'm intrigued to see what sort of impact this has on improving coworker relationships. Curious to hear what kind of interesting features you plan to add later on?
Norbert Hüthmayr
@saasdesigner Hi Ben, lots of work in the pipeline. First and foremost the integration with existing tools. Mostly MS Teams and Slack, also calendars and maybe a voting feature. Anything you'd like to see?
Brian Swartz
Love the spirit of this - especially for remote / hybrid teams! Is there a tool specifically for onboarding new employees, and them being able to connect with existing pods / groups / activities within the company? Onboarding new people in remote and having them quickly find a few friends at work is really valuable if it works!
Norbert Hüthmayr
@brian_swartz crewmap is meant to be integrated into the pre/onboarding flow of new hires - the explicit idea is that new hires (and existing employees) know a bit about each other from day one. HR has full visibility into all the data and can facilitate introductions more easily.
Brian Swartz
@thehuethman nice - love it! Is that app then like Donut in trying to schedule the meet ups? I've always found that the schedule-from-slack flow with Donut feels clunkier than it should. Congrats on the launch - onboarding remote employees is a hot-button issue right now!!
Norbert Hüthmayr
@brian_swartz not yet - right now we take users through a survey and then aggregate the data for HR. THe can use insights to set up meetings, or on an aggregate level, plan company outings/team events based on actual interests. Slack and MS Teams integrations is to come soon.

This is such a nice idea - coming from someone who works at a remote company. Is there an ideal company size most suited to crewmap? Are there any special tools for companies that are geographically distributed?
Norbert Hüthmayr
@danahm I would say it depends on the type of company. crewmap makes sense for larger teams (50+) where it gets naturally difficult to know all the other departments and the people therein. For remote first company where everyone is at home/different places, it can make a lot of sense for teams as small as 15 people. An added value is that crewmap can be integrated into the pre/onboarding process for new hires as well. All you need is a corporate email address.

Congrats on the launch! Your app looks amazing 🙌

@sebastianroehl thank you thank you!

I’ve been lucky enough to try this out firsthand and having worked in several companies (large and small) can massively see the benefit in learning a bit more about your colleagues, especially for new hires! Good luck with this guys!
Flo Schirmer
@michael_heap cheers Mike! You've been a massive help
