Hey ProductHunt Community! I'm very happy to share the Free Ecommerce Tools & Resources Database with all of you. I've been in the e-commerce world for over 15 years, both on the operations and agency side of the business. This database was put together after being unable to find a comprehensive directory of tools for e-commerce managers and store owners which transcended the default platform app store or a basic list of suggested apps. What started with 100 tools quickly turned into over 350 and counting! The directory includes a wealth of links to a multitude of solutions for your store. Here are just a few of the categories covered: 🤑 E-Commerce Platforms - Discover the most popular platforms to enable the core functionality of your shop. 🦘 Marketing Automation - Drive new business to your store automatically with powerful marketing tools. 🗨️ Live Chat and Chatbots - Automate customer support & provide excellent service. 🚢 Shipping Solutions - Improve logistics, save on Shipping and Handling and out-ship your competition. 🧦 Social Media Marketing - Build a better and stronger community and brand for your store. 🪴 Affiliate Systems - Enable your buyers to become sellers & promote your brand. 💻 Customer Service & Help Desk Platforms - Organize issues & automate responses; scale properly to provide the best experience. ⛏️ SEO Tools - Find the right keywords and strategies to rank in the search engines. ... and many, many more! I truly hope this helps anyone in the e-commerce game find tools to improve your ecommerce performance! Thank you all for the support and happy selling!

💡 Bright idea
Congrats, Anthony on this incredible compilation! It’s evident that a lot of hard work and industry expertise went into creating it. Could you share more about how you curated and categorized these tools? Did you personally test them, or was there a specific criterion in place for inclusion? For feature suggestions, it might be helpful to include user reviews or ratings for each tool, giving newcomers insight into the community’s experiences with them. Additionally, a ‘New and Noteworthy’ section could spotlight emerging tools or recent significant updates in the e-commerce world. Thanks for sharing this valuable resource with the community, and best of luck with your ongoing endeavors in the e-commerce world!

@uxyemi Thanks Yemi! Great ideas for a "New & Noteworthy" section! I started out simply listing the products I could name from memory 😁 Having written hundreds of proposals to build ecom sites as a solutions engineer and being in agency marketing for 15+ years, I got to about 100. Then I checked BuiltWith for more ideas of the most popular products in various categories of ecommerce. This helped me with the initial categorization as well. I prompted ChatGPT a few hundred times to get more ideas as well. Actually, I used a ChatGPT integration with Google Sheets to enrich and add more tags to the database. Notion's built in AI integration was helpful as well. As far as criteria to include any particular tool, it just had to be an active product with current users that seemed reasonably well supported and useful for either building, enhancing, growing or supporting a store at any stage of their growth. I think over time I'd surely like to continue adding new products. This idea stemmed from simply not being able to find anything like it. Maybe I'll add reviews or open comments someday too. Luckily, Notion can handle some of these things pretty well! Thanks for your helpful comment!

@anthony_latona Interesting. Your extensive experience in both operations and agency aspects of e-commerce shines through, and it’s fantastic to see that what started as a collection of 100 tools has grown to an impressive 350+! Glad you found my comment helpful. Best of luck!

Lifetime deals have started to scare me more and more. As I've matured I am now worried that the maker is going to bounce in a relatively short time span, lol.
Anthony Latona
@kingromstar I totally agree when there are underlying costs. A SasS or AI offer with a lifetime deal may be a bit suspect unless there's a clear explanation how they're going to fund it going forward. However, this directory is entirely built in Notion so there are no hosting fees or overhead of any kind :) no need to worry.

Congrats on launching! Such an interesting product, looks like it could save a lot of time in promotion businesses. Surely our team could benefit from it! Seems like an impressive project!
Anthony Latona
@julia_kot Thanks so much, Julia! I hope that it can help on both sides of the business. The product developers who build awesome stuff and the ecommerce managers and owners who want to improve their sales and performance.

Anthony Latona
@neha_8 Thanks for the kind words, Neha! I hope someone can use it to find the right tools and platforms for their store. Funny enough, no team to congratulate... I did this one solo with the help of Octoparse, Notion and some crafty AI prompts 😁😁
