Hey everyone! I'm George, the creator of 16Core Character Mapper. I originally built this tool for my own personal use. I've been using the 16-trait system for my own writing for years, and it's helped me create more complex characters and casts with variety and purpose. This framework allows me to spot where characters align and where they collide, giving me opportunities to spark organic conflict in my stories. The problem was that I had to design a new map from scratch in Illustrator every time I started a new story. I decided to develop this app to make the process intuitive and fast, so that character development feels more like play and (much) less like work.
