Voice Estimate & Invoice App for Contractors

Settle is an iPhone app for solo contractors. You describe a job out loud, Settle writes a priced estimate using your own prices, you text it from your own phone, and your customer approves or pays from a link. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account, and Settle never holds your money.

Hey Product Hunt, Chris here, maker of Settle.
Settle exists because I watched contractors lose jobs to the 20 minutes between "yeah, I can do that" and actually sending a number. The invoice apps built for them are built like accounting software: forms, line items, templates, a dashboard nobody checks, and a "payments" feature that holds the money in the app's own account for days.
Settle is the opposite of that.
How it works:
Describe the job out loud. "Replace the water heater, 50 gallon, haul the old one, Thursday." Settle turns it into a priced estimate using YOUR prices, not generic ones.
Send it from your own phone. No Settle phone number, no "reply STOP to unsubscribe." It goes out through Messages or WhatsApp like any text you'd send.
Your customer approves or pays from a link. One tap. No account, no app download on their end.
The money goes straight to your own Stripe account. Settle never touches it, never holds it, never decides when you get paid.
What I'm proud of:
No homework. There's no setup week, no catalog to build, no templates to design. Open it, talk, send.
It looks and feels like it came with the iPhone. System components, no custom UI to learn.
Payments without a middleman. Most apps in this space make their money by sitting between you and your customer's card. We don't. You connect Stripe once and it's yours.
Who it's for: solo tradespeople and small crews. Plumbers, electricians, handymen, landscapers, painters, pressure washers, anyone who quotes jobs from a truck.
What I'd love feedback on:
Does the voice-to-estimate flow match how you actually talk about a job?
What's the one thing that would make you move off whatever you use now?
If you're a contractor, what does your current app get wrong?
Happy to answer anything in the comments all day. Thanks for checking it out.
