Swizzle is an open-source runtime for automations that your coding agent writes as plain Python, JavaScript or TypeScript. You describe the job, the agent writes the code once, and Swizzle runs it on your own server with schedules, webhooks, OAuth, encrypted secrets, retries, approvals and step-by-step logs. Give your agent the repo and it sets Swizzle up for you. Free under Apache 2.0.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Jan and I built Swizzle.
For years I built automations by dragging boxes around in no-code tools. Then coding agents got good enough that describing a workflow to Claude Code was faster than clicking it together, and the canvas started getting in the way. An agent works with code, tests and git. A node editor gives it none of that.
So I wanted the agent to write each automation once, as ordinary code, and have something reliable run it from then on. An agent that redoes the job on every run burns tokens each time and gives you slightly different results. Code runs the same way every time and shows you the exact step where it broke.
Swizzle is the part that runs it. It handles schedules, webhooks, OAuth token refresh, encrypted secrets and approvals that can wait for days. A retry skips the steps that already finished. When a run finally fails, you get a Telegram message, and "Hand to agent" turns the failure into a brief for the fix.
You don't have to code. Give your agent the repo and it installs Swizzle on a €5 VPS or on your own machine. If that machine is only on sometimes, schedules only run while it's on, so for anything that has to run reliably a small VPS is the better home.
The first automation I built this way would have taken me about three days. It took ten minutes.
What's the first automation you'd hand to your agent?
