I built Paperarchive because I kept losing documents between a day job, a side business and two kids. The school wanted a form from two years ago, the tax advisor needed a receipt, the electrician's invoice was buried in some email attachment. Every time, the same digging.

So I started building something in the evenings. You forward documents by email, and they're automatically filed, named and made searchable. Later you just type what you're looking for. Search "car insurance" and you'll find your vehicle policy, even if the word "car" never appears in it. No folders, no rules to maintain.

Two things matter a lot to me. First, your documents aren't the product. Paperarchive makes money from subscriptions, not from your data: no ads, no analytics on your content, no AI training. Files are stored in Germany, and the AI models run exclusively in the EU. My own family and business paperwork lives in it too. Second, it plays well with your tools: there's an API and an MCP server. One customer in Florida connected it to Claude and ChatGPT so he can ask questions about his own documents.

Honest status: three paying customers and a handful of early users who've reported every bug before I found it myself.
