Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Gazi, and compare⁄io exists because of a bad laptop purchase. When I was shopping for a laptop, I did what most people do. I read the spec sheets, went through a bunch of product pages, and picked the one that looked best. Soon after I bought it, it started having network issues. When I looked into it, I found other owners posting about the same problem in online communities. None of that was on the product page. That's when it clicked: researching the product isn't enough. You also have to research what goes wrong with it, and that information is scattered across threads you'd never think to check. So I built compare⁄io. Here's how it works: → Add up to 6 items by typing a name, searching, or uploading a photo → Or use the browser extension: while you shop, right-click a page or highlight a product name to add it to your list → Tell it what you need and why you're comparing → It searches product pages, reviews, and communities, including known issues → You get a plain-language verdict, a side-by-side table, and every source it used Then keep going. Ask follow-up questions and remove items as you rule them out. The answers update based on what's left, until you land on your pick. I'd love your feedback.
