Xtell is a UK career and labour market intelligence platform combining 6+ government data sources, including the DSIT AI Occupational Assessment and ONS SOC, with live vacancy data updated every few hours. It classifies 260+ roles as Displaced, Evolved or Extended by AI, shows which tasks AI cannot replace and where AI amplifies human capability, and uses two proprietary models to show how roles shift under different conditions. Check any role free in under two minutes.
I started building Xtell because I kept seeing the same problem. People are being told that AI will transform jobs, replace jobs, or create entirely new ones, but very little of that helps someone answer the question: what does this actually mean for my role?
I wanted to move the conversation away from broad predictions and towards evidence people can use. Xtell combines UK Government datasets with live vacancy data to show how AI is affecting specific roles, which tasks are more exposed, where human capability still matters, and how a role may shift under different conditions.
The product has evolved significantly while building it. What started as a way to assess AI exposure became a broader career and labour market intelligence platform covering 260 plus UK roles, with proprietary models designed to make the analysis more practical and actionable.
I am building Xtell alongside an MBA specialising in AI, so a lot of the thinking has come from combining research with a very practical question: how do we help people make better career decisions in a labour market that is changing quickly?
