Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built ChatShelf because I kept losing good answers in my own chat history. I knew I'd asked ChatGPT about something months ago, but I could never find it — because ChatGPT (and Claude, and Gemini, and Grok) only search conversation titles, not what's actually inside them. So ChatShelf indexes every message, in your browser, and gives you one search bar across all four. No server, no account — I didn't want to ask anyone to trust me with their chat history, so I built it so I never have to be trusted with it at all. It's free. All of it. No premium tier, because full-text search shouldn't be a paywall feature. Also in there: nested folders that mix chats from all four assistants, a prompt library with fill-in variables, prompt chains, and a way to pull an old conversation in as context with @@. I'd genuinely like to know: what's the AI chat you've lost track of and never found again? That's the exact problem I built this to fix, and I want to hear where it still falls short.

This is genuinely useful. I’ve lost way too much time scrolling through old AI chats trying to find one specific thing I remember seeing. The local-first approach is especially nice too. Having search across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok in one place makes a lot of sense. Great launch! 🔥
