Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We built SmartDocs after noticing how much business document work still happens the same way: find an old Word file, make a copy, update names, numbers, dates and clauses, then manually check everything again. AI can already write text well, but for real business documents, generating text is only part of the job. Teams often need to preserve the original Word formatting, know exactly what the AI changed, review potential risks, and hand off a file that colleagues or clients can continue reviewing in Microsoft Word. That’s what we’re trying to solve with SmartDocs. You can upload an existing .docx, describe changes in plain language, review AI suggestions, apply revisions, and export the result with tracked changes and a revision summary. We’re also working on a dedicated version for lawyers and legal teams, focused on contract review, redlining, custom review rules and client-ready revision workflows. We’re still early, so one of the main reasons we’re launching here is to learn: which document workflows are painful enough that you’d actually want a dedicated tool instead of handling them manually or with a general-purpose AI assistant?
