I built FinePrint Shield around a simple problem: most people sign contracts without truly understanding everything buried in the fine print. Whether it’s a car agreement, lease, service contract, business document, or another important agreement, complicated language can make it difficult to understand what you’re agreeing to. I wanted to create something that puts useful document tools in one place. FinePrint Shield lets you scan or upload a document, analyze it in plain language, identify potential red flags, search it, sign it, add professional or custom stamps, and keep documents organized in a privacy-focused local-first vault. Privacy was also a major part of the idea. I didn’t want people to have to give up control of sensitive documents just to make them easier to understand. FinePrint Shield isn’t a replacement for an attorney or professional advice. It’s designed to help people become better informed before they make important decisions.
