As an engineer working on Medicodio AI, the biggest challenge we wanted to solve was the amount of manual effort, inconsistency, and delay involved in medical coding. We built Medicodio AI to turn complex clinical documentation into accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier predictions while keeping the workflow transparent and easy for coding teams to review. What started as an automation problem gradually evolved into building an AI-driven coding platform that can adapt to different specialties, workflows, and healthcare organizations. A lot of engineering effort has gone into accuracy, scalability, integrations, and making the system practical for real-world healthcare operations.
