Handraise is a local-first workbench for Claude Code and Codex. It helps you understand a repository, turn product goals into reviewable work, and start ready tasks in isolated worktrees. From one dashboard, you can see which agent needs you and approve or deny typed permission requests. Sessions stay in tmux; code and CLI credentials stay on your machine. Open source, MIT licensed, and currently in public preview.

Handraise started as an internal tool I built out of necessity while working on my main project.
As I began running several coding agents at once, I kept losing time switching between terminals to find the one waiting for permission. So I gradually built a local control room that showed me what every session was doing and brought the agents needing attention to the top.
I wasn't originally planning to release it as a separate project. But after seeing other tools addressing similar workflows being shared, I realized this was becoming a common problem and decided that Handraise might be useful to the broader community too.
Handraise keeps sessions running locally in tmux, leaves provider credentials with the original CLIs, and turns permission requests into explicit allow or deny actions. There is no public relay and no terminal-screen scraping involved.
It is currently a public preview with support for Claude Code and Codex. Iād especially appreciate feedback about the workflow, the status model, and which integrations would be most useful next.
