Should I take the offer and relocate? Is my cofounder pulling out? Is this relationship still worth pursuing? Hard decisions rarely lack opinions. What they lack is a structured way to surface what those opinions miss. QimenIt combines Qimen Dunjia, a 2,000-year-old Chinese strategic framework, with AI to analyze timing, risks, human dynamics, and possible next moves. The decision remains yours. Cast a chart free. Hey Product Hunt 👋
I've studied Qimen Dunjia for many years, and over time I became the person friends go to when they're stuck on a decision: take the offer or not, move or stay, sign the deal or walk away. I cast the chart, read it, and walk them through it. I let them decide what to pay, but I know Qimen masters out there charge fairly high for the same service.
The bottleneck was never demand. It was me: one person with limited hours, and friends waiting days for an answer they needed right away. That's the trade as it stands today: know someone who reads charts and pay in waiting, or go to a master and pay in money. At some point the thought wouldn't leave me alone: when you're facing a hard decision, this kind of perspective shouldn't cost so much of either. That's the whole reason QimenIt exists.
I assumed general AI had already solved it, so I tested the chatbots first. Most fail at step one, casting the chart: same question, same date, asked twice, two different charts. The newest frontier models are finally getting casting right, credit where it's due. But the reading still isn't there. What you get is a generic tour of the grid: no logic for weighing the palaces against your specific question, no accounting for the asker's own birth year, which a proper reading must include. And that's the best models, which most people aren't using anyway.
That's what decided the architecture: QimenIt is built in two halves.
The chart is pure computation. Hard-coded casting algorithms, nothing improvised. Same input, same chart, every time. You can verify this yourself.
The reading is where AI helps, but it's not a general chatbot. It's an engine built and tuned for exactly one job: reading the actual chart against your actual question, with your birth year factored in, and answering in plain English. Making it read a chart the way I would took far more rounds of tuning than I expected. That was most of the work.

One ask, and it isn't votes. What I want from this launch is honest feedback, so I've set aside 10 complimentary full readings for early users. If you'd like one, comment here with the kind of decision you're facing. I'll reach out with a one-time code, and the reading costs you nothing. No upvote required. The only thing I ask is that you use it, then come back and tell me whether it actually helped. If it didn't, say exactly that.
I'll be here all day. Skeptical questions welcome, they're usually the best ones.
