honestly this looks really useful for anyone grinding Upwork right now. one thing that would honestly level it up for me is a job score or match rating based on my saved profile, so I can basically see at a glance which posts are worth spending connects on before even opening them.
@ekinsbzl Hi Ekin, thank you for the feedback and support!
You are actually the second person to request a "Job Match Score" today, which tells me this is the absolute #1 feature we need to build next!
Since BidIQ already reads your local profile highlights and hourly rate, we can run a quick matching calculation to show a percentage score (like "90% Match") directly on your Upwork job feed before you even click to open the post.
I have added this to the top of our development roadmap for the next release. Thanks for helping us make the product better!
the sandboxes-it-locally approach is a really thoughtful choice, shows respect for freelancers who are already cautious about platform data. love seeing that executed well over yet another cloud-based AI wrapper.
@gnlsincarytnm Hi Gönül, thank you!
I really appreciate this feedback. As a developer, I know how cautious freelancers are about their Upwork profiles, cookies, and personal data. Cloud-based tools that scrape and store user data on external databases are a massive security risk.
By using chrome.storage.local and isolating the extension inside a Shadow DOM, we ensure your credentials never leave your browser. Keeping it local and secure was our top priority!
the client risk assessor pulling in hire rates and ratings right in the browser is honestly such a smart move, saves you from burning connects on dead leads before you even draft anything.
@efeerkolpgav Hi Efe, thank you for the feedback and support!
You nailed it. Connects are getting too expensive to waste on "ghost" jobs or clients who have a 10% hire rate.
Showing those flags immediately on the page prevents you from throwing money away before you even spend time writing a proposal.
Glad you like the risk assessor!
Would love to see a job scoring system that weighs factors like job freshness, client history, and budget range together so I can quickly sort a long Upwork feed by likelihood of landing the gig.
@caprakniha76716 Hi Nihal, thank you for the support and this brilliant suggestion!
A unified "BidIQ Match Score" is a fantastic idea. Since we already parse client stats, budget ranges, and job details locally, building a weighted scoring system (e.g. from 1-100) to help you instantly sort and filter your Upwork feed is highly feasible and would save freelancers even more time.
I’m adding this directly to our product roadmap for the next major release!
I’d love to know: for your personal workflow, which factor would you weight the heaviest—client hire rate, budget size, or job freshness (time posted)?
