Hey hunters! 👋
I'm the maker of Atanor.
I use several different AI assistants day to day, and I kept running into the same annoying pattern: I'd have a great technical discussion with one AI, then want to bring that context into a different AI to validate the idea, debate it further, or just double-check the reasoning. The only way to do that was copy-pasting walls of text by hand, and formatting always broke along the way — code blocks, tables, lists, all mangled.
That bugged me for a deeper reason too: those conversations are mine. I built up real knowledge in them, but they were trapped inside someone else's chat UI, and I could not treat them like real documents I own.
So I built Atanor — Chat to Markdown, a Chrome extension that:
📄 Exports any conversation from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Qwen, MiniMax, Z.ai or Kimi into a clean Markdown file, one click, no copy-paste
🔍 Auto-detects which platform you're on, no configuration
🧠 Preserves formatting properly: code blocks, tables, lists, bold/italics
✏️ Sends the conversation straight into the Atanor editor if you want to keep working on it, instead of just dumping it to disk
🔒 The Markdown download runs 100% locally in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to send it to the editor
Now when I want a second opinion from another model, I export the chat and paste the clean Markdown wherever I need it. And every conversation I care about actually lives somewhere I control, not locked inside a vendor's chat history.
This is v1 and there's a lot more I want to do (more platforms, better export options, deeper integration with the editor). Would genuinely love to hear:
Which AI platforms you'd want supported next
What you do with your exported conversations today
Any rough edges you hit trying it
Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

Would love to see a way to sync my refined conversations across devices, maybe through an opt-in encrypted cloud or simple file export I can drop into Dropbox. The local-only approach is great for privacy but means I lose access when I switch laptops.

@harunremihuoo I understand and share your concern. I'm considering some integrations like Google Drive, but only through the editor to maintain privacy :)
