Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Tushar, the founder of EduConnect.
While talking to coaching institutes, I noticed that most software focuses on attendance, fees, and administration but students are still left searching for answers to their doubts after class.
That's why I built EduConnect.
EduConnect combines coaching management with an AI-powered doubt solver. Students can ask questions using text or upload an image of their question with OCR, get instant explanations, and revisit every solved doubt later through their doubt history.
Our goal is simple: help coaching institutes manage everything in one place while making learning more accessible for students.

The OCR doubt solver actually works well on handwritten math, which caught me off guard. Having attendance and fees in the same place as the AI tool saves a lot of tab switching for tutors juggling multiple batches.

We spent a lot of time improving the OCR experience because handwritten questions are so common in coaching institutes. Our goal with EduConnect is to bring institute management and AI-powered learning together, so tutors don't have to switch between multiple tools and students get help instantly.

How does the AI doubt solver actually handle handwriting that isnt super neat, and does it work offline for students with spotty internet?
Our OCR is designed to handle handwritten questions and performs best when the writing is reasonably clear and the image quality is good. Even if handwriting isn't perfectly neat, it can often recognize the content, but very messy handwriting, poor lighting, or blurry images can still reduce accuracy. We're continuously improving the OCR based on real-world usage and feedback.
Regarding offline support, EduConnect currently requires an internet connection because both the OCR processing and AI doubt solving run in the cloud. Offline support isn't available yet, but it's something we're exploring for future versions to make the experience better for students with unreliable internet.
If you have specific handwritten samples or offline use cases in mind, we'd love to hear about them they're incredibly valuable for improving the product.

The AI is designed to provide clear, step-by-step explanations for a wide range of academic subjects, including multi-step math problems. Its performance depends on the clarity and complexity of the question, and we encourage students to review the reasoning rather than rely only on the final answer.
At the moment, EduConnect uses a general AI model rather than institute-specific training. However, one of our future goals is to let institutes customize the experience with their own curriculum, study materials, and teaching preferences so the AI can provide even more context-aware assistance.
We're continuously improving the platform based on feedback from educators and students, and this is definitely an area we're excited to expand.

Institutes can't yet plug in their own study materials or curriculum, but that's one of the features on our roadmap. Our vision is to let institutes personalize the AI using their own notes, question banks, and teaching content while keeping the experience simple for students.
