Most gym apps are glorified spreadsheets. Thorax is different: → AI Coach that generates, edits & adjusts routines using real MEV/MRV science, not generic templates → Readiness score from your actual sleep, HRV & resting heart rate → ThoraxGPT: a conversational coach with full access to your training history → Interactive muscle impact maps, 200+ exercises, 30+ sports → Import from Hevy, Strong or Fitbod in 30 seconds Free on Android, iOS & web.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I've been lifting for years and tried every tracker out there. They all had the same problem: they recorded what I did, but never helped me train smarter.
I wanted an app that could answer: "Am I doing too much volume for my chest this week?" or "My sleep has been terrible, should I still go heavy today?" No app did that. So I built Thorax.
The core idea was to combine three things that always existed separately:
• Science-based training (MEV/MAV/MRV from Dr. Mike Israetel's methodology)
• Real biometric context (sleep, HRV, resting HR from Health Connect / Apple Health)
• A conversational AI coach that actually knows your history
ThoraxGPT has full access to your PRs, fatigue, progression trends, so when it recommends something, it's based on your data, not a generic template.
The free plan is genuinely complete: unlimited workouts, 200+ exercises, 5 routines, AI credits every month, and a growing community of 100+ shared routines to import.
Coming from Hevy or Strong? You can migrate in 30 seconds.
Would love brutally honest feedback, especially from serious lifters or coaches. What would make this your go-to tracker? 🙏
I think it's a really innovative and comprehensive app, it covers everything. It lets you save your workouts, create new ones, and you can also interact with your friends and see their progress!! Thorax has it all 🤩
What needs improvement
Loading page could be improved but it’s not a big deal.
This app is much more comprehensive; it not only lets me track my progress but also creates new workout plans and tailors the exercises to my preferences.
