Hey PH 👋 I'm Arjun — solo dev, based in Australia. I kept coming home with a fridge full of random ingredients and no idea what to cook. Every recipe app assumed you'd planned ahead. I hadn't. So I built Frittu. Point your camera at your fridge, get AI recipes personalised to your cuisine, goals, and allergens — right now, with what you have. 6 months of solo building. Live on the App Store today. Free to download, sign up takes 30 seconds.

`Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Arjun, and I built Frittu by myself over the last 6 months.
Here's the honest story.
I moved to Australia a few years ago. New city, new grocery stores, new everything. I'd come home with a fridge full of random ingredients and no idea what to cook, and end up ordering UberEats for the third time that week.
I tried every recipe app. They all had the same problem — they show you beautiful meals and then ask you to go buy 12 specific ingredients you don't have. They work for people who plan ahead. I don't plan ahead.
So I started building something for people like me.
Frittu works backwards. You open the app, point your camera at whatever's in your fridge or pantry, and it tells you what you can cook — right now, with what you have. The recipes are personalised to your cuisine background, your fitness goals, your allergens, how long you want to cook. It's not a recipe database. Every recipe is generated for you, for those specific ingredients, at that moment.
The name Frittu comes from Sicilian dialect for "fried" and I wanted an app that actually understood that my version of "what's in the fridge" looks different from someone else's.
It took a lot of iterations to get right. The hardest part wasn't the AI — it was making sure the recipes were actually good and safe. Every recipe is checked against your allergens before it reaches you, and the nutrition numbers are verified so the calories, protein, carbs and fat always add up.
Frittu is live on the App Store today. Free to download. Sign up takes 30 seconds.
Would genuinely love to hear what you think — especially if something doesn't work the way you'd expect. That's the feedback that makes it better.`
