OAassist was built by a trademark paralegal who lived the workflow — not a technologist who learned about it secondhand. It does two things: audits trademark specimens for compliance before filing, and drafts office action responses grounded in TMEP standards. Specific by design. Trademark prosecution has its own logic and failure modes that general legal AI tools aren't built for. Every output is reviewed and owned by the attorney. AI handles the volume. The practitioner handles the judgment.

I built OAassist because I was tired of how long it took to get from receiving an office action to having a working draft response in front of an attorney. As a trademark paralegal, I watched the same analysis get repeated manually, matter after matter, with no real reason it couldn't be structured and accelerated. The specimen side came from the same place — catching a compliance issue before filing is a five-minute fix. Catching it after costs everyone significantly more time and money. OAassist exists because the people doing this work deserved better tools. Built by a practitioner, for practitioners.
