ReplyAI is a no-code platform enabling small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Africa and emerging markets to deploy AI-powered WhatsApp Sales/Customer Service agents in under 10 minutes. The platform ensures businesses never miss a sale, lead, or appointment - even at 3am.
Over 65% of African SMEs operate on WhatsApp as their primary sales and customer service channel. After hours, messages go unanswered…leading to lost sales, frustrated customers, and a competitive disadvantage.

Hey hunters. Let me tell you why I built this.
I was watching a friend run her fashion business on WhatsApp. She's brilliant, great products, loyal customers, hustle to match. But every evening, her phone would blow up with WhatsApp messages asking the same things: "Do you have this in red?" "How much?" "Can I pay now?" She'd stay up until midnight replying, then wake up to 40 more.
Hiring someone to handle it? ₦80,000–₦150,000 a month...more than most SMEs can stomach. So the messages just… went unanswered. Sales walked away.
I kept thinking: this is solvable. These are the same 10 questions, every day, on a platform (WhatsApp) that 65% of African SMEs already use as their primary sales channel.
The first version of Reply AI was embarrassingly simple, basically a prompt wrapper with a form on top. But when we put it in front of our first 5 beta businesses, something clicked. A caterer in Abuja told us she took 23 orders in one weekend without touching her phone once. A pharmacy owner said his staff stopped getting distracted by repetitive questions.
That's when I knew the problem was real and the appetite was there.
The hard part wasn't the AI, it was figuring out how to make setup genuinely take under 10 minutes for someone who's never touched a developer tool. We threw out three versions of the onboarding flow. We tested it with non-technical business owners at every stage. We added support for Nigerian Pidgin because our customers don't talk to their customers in textbook English.
We also realized early that "just answering questions" wasn't enough. The real unlock was closing the loop; order taken, payment link sent, confirmation delivered, all inside one WhatsApp conversation. No app downloads. No redirects. Just the channel they already live in.
We're starting with Nigeria, but this problem exists everywhere WhatsApp is the default business channel: Brazil, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Ghana.
Would love your honest feedback. What would you want to see if you were an SME owner or building tools for this market? 🙏
