Here's the background on why I created this app. Like many of you I have been targeted by scammers many times (too many to count) as well as my family. Actually some family members have been scammed and it pissed me off. Scams are so convincing that even the smartest of people get taken for hundreds of thousands of dollars. After this happened, I tried to find an app that we could use to stay informed or even check text messages and emails but there was nothing out there. Many cybersecurity tools are backend scanners but I didn't find anything I could use myself to check, so with the help of AI, I created the GuardianAI Scam Defense App. Honestly I knew nothing about app development so I went to ChatGPT and said "I want to build a scam defense app" and after that I started "vibe coding" for several months to get it built and available for distribution. My ultimate goal was to create something my family could use to spot scams and stay aware of current scams that are occurring near them and globally. Knowledge is power and sharing information with one another is key to stay informed (sharing is caring). I built this to be a scanner (AI Cybersecurity Model is my backend analyzer) and as a training / information tool. Scams are increasing every year and scammers are using AI to get smarter, so I wanted to use AI to fight back. My hope is you find it helpful and share the app as well as any potential scams you identify with your family and friends. I'll be the happiest man on earth if the app helps prevent one or more people from getting scammed. It was reported that $12.5 Billion was lost to scams in the US and over $1Trillion globally in 2025.
