I was burnt out for years at my job (well paid but feeling like doing nothing). Last year, I finally quit and decided to build something that actually felt meaningful.
I’ve always been obsessed with automating repetitive tasks. This idea started small with social events for a community. People hated filling out the same form again and again. So I put together a simple AI agent on WhatsApp that asks "What’s your partner's name? Which category? T-shirt size? ..." all in a human-like style, and even sends payment links for confirmations. It saved the organizers hours of back-and-forth. Then I showed it to a couple of padel club owners in Dubai, where people just text to book a court, and some friends who run restaurants. Their reaction was "Wait… this actually works?!" 😄
So I’ve got excited, and I applied to YC three times so far, but still getting rejected (waiting for that magical feedback email 😂).
