I’m Sultan, co-author of the State of DeAI 2026 report. Excited to share it here.

In 2025, we launched DeAI Nation, a global nonprofit focused on analyzing, supporting, and promoting the decentralized AI ecosystem and decentralized compute. This report is our first major step. While working on it, we learned a lot about the growing concentration of AI power, and how it affects people, companies, and entire countries.

DeAI Nation’s co-founder, Yasin, believes this trend is especially dangerous for younger generations like his: people finishing school today will have to live with the consequences of decisions made by a small group of CEOs and politicians trying to control compute, models, and other critical AI resources.

So what’s the alternative?

In this report, we explore the decentralized AI ecosystem and its promise. We analyzed key companies in the space and spoke with builders, investors, and government officials to understand what already exists, what is missing, and what may come next.
