Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’ve spent more than 15 years in QA, Automation, and building testing teams from scratch. And one frustration kept repeating itself across startups and enterprises:
We were still testing APIs manually.
Or stitching together brittle scripts.
Or finding critical API issues in staging… or worse, production.
APIs power everything today — fintech, SaaS, mobile apps, AI systems.
Yet API testing is still reactive, tool-heavy, and dependent on scripting.
That didn’t make sense to me.
So we built Shift-Left API.
An AI-powered, no-code API testing platform that reads your API specifications and automatically generates deep, production-grade test coverage — including positive/negative scenarios, auth validation, schema checks, data integrity, and more.
The goal wasn’t to build “another testing tool.”
The goal was to build an API testing ecosystem —
where teams move from spec → to confidence → before production.
This launch has been a journey.
We started thinking about automation.
We evolved into thinking about coverage.
And finally realized: what teams really need is production confidence.
Would genuinely love your feedback, tough questions, and thoughts.
Let’s shift testing left — for real. 🚀

Report
I’ve seen API automation projects where 60–70% of the effort goes into writing and maintaining test scripts rather than actually validating business logic.
What I like about this platform is that it flips that equation. If test cases can be generated automatically from endpoints (including CRUD scenarios and edge cases), teams can focus more on validation strategy.
The ecosystem-level reporting is interesting too — especially for teams managing multiple microservices.
If this delivers at scale, it could significantly reduce automation maintenance overhead.
Curious to see how it scales for enterprise use cases. Kudos to team, Total Shift Left!

I’ve struggled with maintaining API tests across environments for years. What I love about this is how it automatically generates tests from endpoints and keeps them aligned across dev, staging, and prod.
The no-code + AI combo is a big deal for teams who don’t want heavy scripting overhead. Excited to see where this goes 🚀

Compared to traditional API testing tools where you manually script and maintain everything, this feels significantly lighter. The auto-generation + environment insights are a smart move.
